March momentum for UK property market

Following a subdued market in February, the latest data from the Agency Express Property Activity Index has revealed a spike in activity early spring.

National month on month figures for new listings ‘For Sale’ sat at 15.3% and properties ‘Sold’ at a buoyant 16.9%.

This months top performer was Scotland but was closely followed by the North East. Both regions recorded best month on month increases for March.

Commenting on the latest index results, Stephen Watson, Managing Director of Agency Express said:

The figures from this month’s Property Activity Index have shown some promising increases across the UK and our yearly figures are up. As we move in to April we’d expect a seasonal dip then an increase again in May.
